Community support during COVID 19
This is a time when we all need to pull together. So many in our communities need help. We typically count on our local organizations to deliver this help, but many are very stretched. Those of us who can, we need to step up and support our Community Foundations, who are actively funding organizations, initiatives, and individuals that are in need during this pandemic. Such giving through Community Foundations is an efficient way to ensure that donations are directed to organizations that can use it the most. Here are some of those Community Foundations that need our support. Even small donations can make a big difference to Community Foundations as they try to meet unprecedented levels of demand for charitable services so important to the health of our communities.
West Vancouver Foundation has established the COVID-19 Emergency Response Fund & Grant and they are seeking to raise $500,000. Grants have already been awarded to organizations providing food, shelter and social connection.
